Day 93: Cape Town

Gray and I left the kids to sleep in late, they needed it.

We drove through to Cape Town to visit our friends, Colleen Atwood and Steve and Sheila Pacak. We had coffee and a great catch up at Colleen’s new home in Constanta.  The kids came through in Robs car and met us there.

We then headed off for lunch at Chefs Warehouse in Beau Constantia. What a treat, I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant for the beautiful view, the great wine and the exceptional food.

Ga caught up with Ivor, the head chef and a mentor of his.  We got Kirsty to eat her first oyster ever, bit of a disaster, think it will be her last.  All round great fun, lots of laughs and food to dream about.

From there we popped in to visit Cath and Bevan Hitchcock at their gorgeous new home, also in Constantia. We attended their wedding celebration in May.

Then we eventually made our way to the Cullinan Hotel, where we were staying for the night. They have the most beautiful foyer, reception area. After more drinks on the patio, we eventually got the kids to bed. They were unplayable … they were easier to settle down when they were babies.
