Day 89: Stellenbosch

We woke to a cloudy, grey, cold and drizzly Cape winter morning. The whole town was upbeat and excited about the much needed rain.

Robs joined us for breakfast before lectures, such a treat to have her around.

We spent the morning shopping and visiting art galleries. At Stephen Rautenbach’s studio we were given a tour of his workshop and a lecture on how his bronze statues are made.

For dinner we went to the Fat Butcher, a great steak restaurant and highly recommended, unless you are a vegan. We walked home in the drizzle. It’s so nice to be in a small town where you can walk everywhere.
